If you were relying on your WIFI to work or communicate with someone, this situation can create a real hassle. Therefore, in this situation when you find yourself without an internet connect, here are some most common causes and how you can fix the problem:
- Make Sure Your Device Is Not the Problem
The first thing you will need to check is your devices that you are using. The easiest way to do this is to simply try and access the internet from another devices. Therefore, if you can’t connect the internet on your laptop, take another devices such as your other phone or laptop and see if the devices have the same problem. You can try some following step:
- Check and make sure your WIFI didn’t turned off or the devices is in airplane mode.
- Restart your device to resets it.
- Make sure that there are no password or other security controls set up that might be preventing you from the WIFI connecting
However, if none of these solutions can solve the problem, then the issues might be more severe. There could be a problem with the WIFI receiver itself to your devices, which it may require you to service or replace it. Thus, there is also a chance the device can’t connect due to it had been infected with a virus or something else.
2. Reset Your Router and Modem
If you can rule out the issue being a device-specific one, therefore the next step you should look is your router and modem. To see if the issue with your connection is coming from the router or the mode, you can plug a devices into your router with a cord.
If you are able to connect to the internet, then the WIFI problem is mainly related to your router. A good solution to try and fix this problem is to simply unplug the router then wait for 30seconds, and then plug it back. This reset action will often resolve the connection problem that you are having.
After you have resets the router and there is no connection again, you will need to check the cable leading from outside to inside of your house. Thus, this is usually outside as it come from the port on the street. You need to check in order to make sure nothing has come undone or disconnected.

3. Check if You Have Pay the Bill
If you have already tried the previous solution that we mentioned but none of those can help you fix with the internet connection problem, it’s probably the time to call your internet service provider. But before you call them, you have to firstly check and make sure you have pay your latest monthly bill. This is due to the internet service provider will shut off your internet line if you didn’t pay your monthly bill for a very long time.
Therefore, you can check your monthly bill in your online account in App, email or just straightly call to the customer service center. Lastly, after you pay your bill they will reconnect your internet line within 1 day.
